Writer-in-Residence for Temple Newsam stately home
I am working at Temple Newsam on the outskirts of Leeds - a stunning Elizabethan house and estate which was turned into a hospital during WW1. The project links with University of Leeds where I've taken local writing groups to see their Liddle Collection of WW1 artefacts. We've also visited The Red House museum, and Leeds Resource Centre and used their collections as writing inspiration. I work with the groups on Temple Newsam's exhibitions - whether it's Capability Brown, or the current Contemporary Silver exhibits.
Turning Point - article
I was asked recently to write "an inspirational article" for Script Yorkshire about a turning point in my writing career - hope you enjoy it!
